Founded in 1892, Aberdovey Golf Club is a championship links golf course, consistently ranked in the Top 100 Golf Courses of the UK & Ireland, and currently ranked the 3rd best course in Wales.  Aberdovey Golf Club has played host to many national and international competitions in its time.  The Welsh Seniors' Championship has made Aberdovey its usual home and the Welsh Hickory Championships are also held annually here.  It is testament to the fact that Aberdovey truly is a fine test of links golf.  It was Bernard Darwin, the first literary giant of the game and Aberdovey’s first Club Captain, who wrote: “Aberdovey is the course that my soul loves best of all the courses in the world.”  If you should decide to play Aberdovey, we are sure you will understand what Darwin was talking about.
