The Münchener Golf Club (founded in 1910) offers two unique golf courses, the 27-hole golf course in Straßlach south of Munich and the 9-hole course Thalkirchen conveniently located in Munich.
The 27-hole Golf Course Straßlach in parkland style was redesigned in 2006 by the famous American golf course architect Perry O. Dye. The Dye family is well-known for high-quality golf courses such as the Ryder Cup courses "The Ocean Course", "Whistling Straits" and "Sawgrass". The golf course in Straßlach has been designed with three different 9-hole loops. Doglegs, well shaped fairways and relatively small greens defended by bunkers characterize this challenging golf course. With 5 different tee boxes golfers of all levels will enjoy the challenges and the chances of success.
The 9-hole Golf Course Thalbach (1951) is located on the western bank of the river Isar and due to its proximity to the city center an ideal place for a relaxed round of golf. The traditional golf course with beautiful old trees and narrow fairways is not as long as its "big brother". Strategic play and precision are the real subjects.
