The 27-hole golf resort Royal Bled in the small town of Bled, close to the Austrian province of Carinthia, offers two phantastic golf courses, which are among the most beautiful in the Alps. Surrounded by a majestic mountain landscape, the renovated "King's Course" is a magnet for golfers from all over Europe. The "Lake's Course", although a 9-hole course, is a gem itself.
The 'King's Course' by Royal Bled is ranked 48th among the top 100 golf courses in Europe. The origins of the championship course date back to 1937, which makes it the oldest golf course in Slovenia. After a major renovation the course reopened in 2017. A state of the art new strategic layout is complemented by perfectly manicured fairways and greens. The breathtaking views of the Karawanken and the famous Bled Castle make this golf course a true great golfing experience.
The 9-hole 'Lake's Course' (3.047 meters) was originally designed by famous golf course architect Donald Harradine. It runs through slightly undulating terrain. Classic parkland style, water hazards and fantastic views are the defining elements.
The easy accessibility in the border triangle of Austria, Italy and Slovenia is another of the advantages of Royal Bled. The best places to stay are the two accommodations on the golf course - King's House and Lake's House.
