The 18-hole Golf Club Starnberg (1986) is situated in the Five Lakes region, about three kilometers from Starnberg close to Lake Starnberg, Ammersee, Wörthsee, Pilsensee and Weßlinger See. The golf course, built by architect Kurt Rossknecht, lies in between the hills that emerged out of the endmoraines of the glacial period and offers panoramic views. Kurt Rossknecht, famous for his challenging and untouched courses, was inspired by the soft hills and the forest which dates back over hundreds of years.
The Starnberg golf course features big greens in top condition, elevated tees, impressive old trees and well placed bunkers and water hazards. Difference in elevation between many holes demand a tactical game and the right choice of clubs as do the old trees along the course, which are not only characteristic for the region but also strategical elements. Due to the many doglegs one can be rewarded with aggressive play or also can be punished.
Training facilities: driving range with three different levels and amazing view, three chipping greens, two putting greens and a sheltered driving range. Practice balls are for free.
