The 18 hole Golf Club Lugano (1923) is the oldest golf club in the Italian part of Switzerland and is situated juSt 10 minutes from the city of Lugano in a picturesque alpine landscape. The golf course was originally designed by Donald Harradine and redesigned in 1992 by golf course architect Cabell B. Robinson. The mostly narrow fairways are surrounded by birches, oaks, pines, rhododendrons and azaleas. Numerous water hazards and the river Magliasina contribute to further challenge. Long holes, which are suitable for long hitters, alternate with short holes requiring precision. The golf course offers a very attractive design and is enjoyable for golfers of all levels.
