The 36-hole Esbjerg Golfklub was founded in 1921 and is the third oldest Golfclub in Denmark. The golf club is located not far from Esbjerg on the edge of the Marbæk forest. Enjoy two 18-hole golf courses; Marbæk/Old Course is the Championship Course and Myrtue/New Course which was built in 1993/2007.
The Marbæk Old course was was designed by the danish architect Frederik Dreyer in 1975. The course, which is characterized as an inland-links course, is beautifully situated in the slightly hilly terrain and has a very high standard. It has been nominated as one of the Top-5 Golfcourses in Denmark (see also Top 100 Golfcourses and Golf Digest).
Over the years Esbjerg Golfklub had several Championships on Marbæk. Among them a Challenge Tour in 2004 and 2005.
