The 9-hole Golf Club Carezza at Karerpass in South Tyrol is the oldest golf course in South Tyrol. The so-called "Mountain-Beast" is located at an altitude of 1,580 m with fascinating views of the "Rose Garden" and the Croda Rossa, the magnificent mountain of the Dolomites. The technically challenging golf course asks for a lot of stamina to overcome the height difference of up to 400 meters.
Even the aristocracy of Europe was aware of the beauty of the golf course at Karerpass when they came to South Tyrol in 1905 to play golf. Today numerous golf tournaments are held annually at Golf Club Carezza. Particularly well known is the "Alpine Iron Man", one of the hardest golf tournaments in the region, with a playing time of about twelve hours.
To meet today's requirements of modern golf, the golf course was renovated in 2015 and redesigned during 2016 with the help of golf architect Wilfried Moroder.
The Golf Club Carezza belongs to Golf & Country South Tyrol with a total of 3 golf courses.
