The 18-hole Pelagone Golf Club Toscana (1999) is located in the middle of the green hills of the Tuscan Maremma. The British golf architect Keith Preston established one of the most attractive golf courses in Italy between olive groves and towering cypress trees. The par 71 championship course with its impressive views conforms to international standards and was named one of the top ten new golf courses in 2003. The course is not long, but requires accurate play since the many water hazards are ruthless in penalising mistakes. The greens are characterised by multiple breaks and are extremely difficult to read. Several out-of-bounds areas and two different cuts of rough mean that a simple round is a rarity. The course is the perfect challenge for both new and experienced players. The beautiful Tuscan landscape together with the pleasant climate, which allows the course to be used the whole year round, makes this golf course an exclusive experience. Particularly remarkable is the tee at the 18th hole, where you will be rewarded with an unforgettable view of the island of Elba and the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The Championship Course is the venue for many Pro-Am and international competitions, such as the Faldo Series Italian Championship.
