Therefore most of the holes are alongside the beach. The difficulty of the course lies mainly in the condition of the prevailing winds in the area. The 18-hole course Alcaidesa Heathland (2007) designed by the well known architect Dave Thomas is a course which offers a variety of natural scenery ranging from the plateau area where the course is similar to a heathland, with wide fairways and outstanding views, to the valley area, where the holes meander along the valley and incorporate several water hazards.

The par 71 course combines two completely different landscapes in the first and second half. The front nine holes have rolling fairways surrounded by a forest of pine, almond and olive trees. The back nine holes have wider fairways that fall towards the coast.

Fuerteventura Golf Club

The South course (par 72) was opened in 2003. It runs alongside the clubhouse and is divided into two parts with very different characteristics, both in terms of technique and the landscape. The pine forest alternates with olive trees and wetlands, requiring golfers to use strategy and precision in their strokes. The course, which can be played easily on foot, offers spacious greens known to be among the fastest in Andalusia.

The 9-hole course of the golfclub Golf Pollença (1986) lies perfectly integrated in a beautiful local environment in the North of Mallorca. In the year 2000 it underwent a complete renovation programme. The course is very undulated and surrounded by a lot of trees and plenty of hazards. It offers panoramic views over the Tramuntana mountains, olive groves, the bays of Pollença and Alcudia and s’Albufera reserve. It is of average difficulty and ideal for all players.

La Manga Club

Putman is a more or less flat course sprawling between palm trees, lakes and 'barrancos'. With narrow fairways and large greens it is slightly shorter than the South Course. Therefore it offers a different, yet no less challenging, round of golf.

Los Naranjos Golf Club

The 18-hole championship course of Los Naranjos Golf Club (1977) is a typical Robert Trent Jones design with generous fairways and strategically placed bunkers and water hazards. The greens are spacious and slightly undulated. The course is suitable for professionals but also enjoyable for all levels of amateur players Los Naranjos has been the host of several major tournaments including the Spanish Ope,n the European Senior Amateur Championship, the Spanish Junior Championship and the Spanish International Ladies Amateur Championship. In 2005 and again in 2008 it was voted Course of the Year on the Costa del Sol.

Mar Menor Village Golf
